Shostakovich 10

Don’t miss fiery conductor (and new Utah Symphony Music Director!) Thierry Fischer bring this brilliant, gargantuan work to life with the Utah Symphony. Also on the program: 20-something violinist Baiba Skride performs Brahms’ virtuosic Violin Concerto in D Major, called one of the “four great violin concerti of all time” by no less than the 19th-century violin mega-star Joseph Joachim.

Van Cliburn Medalist
Nothing Comes Between Me and My Stravinsky

Enjoy this masterpiece performed by the Utah Symphony under the baton of Emeritus Music Director Keith Lockhart. Also on the program, one of the excellent medalists from the 2009 Van Cliburn International Competition, Yeol Eum Son, will perform.
