Do you remember the first time you heard an opera singer? What kind of impact did it have on you?

For Jacquelyn Mouritsen, it inspired her career in opera, and she is now in the fourth year of her doctorate in voice. Hear her story in the video below.

Every year the Utah Opera Resident Artists go into Utah’s schools to perform for thousands of students. For many of these young people, this will be the first time they’ve heard opera performed live, sparking a lifetime of love for arts and culture.
