Student Discounts
If you are enrolled in school (elementary through college levels), you can receive student tickets to most Utah Symphony | Utah Opera performances. For our 2009-10 season, student tickets are $6 for Lollipops performances, $8 for Family performances, and $10 for Masterworks, Utah Opera, and Entertainment performances. Please be prepared to show your student I.D. when you hand your ticket to the usher.

There are limited student tickets set aside for performances, so please buy in advance to ensure you'll have tickets to the performances you'd like to attend. Student tickets to "blackout performances" can only be purchased by Student Design-A-Series Subscribers (see below).

Grade 4-12 students receive 1 free ticket each season. Free student vouchers are limited may not be available for every performance. Learn more at the Symphony For Students website.

Student Design-A-Series
We call it a season subscription. You'll call it a sweet deal! Getting student tickets is easier than ever with our Student Design-A-Series. Customize your Utah Symphony | Utah Opera (USUO) season ticket package to feature what you love about music and get student tickets to performances normally not available at the student price.

As a Student Design-A-Series subscriber, no subscription concert is restricted for the $10 student price (special events are excluded). Also, you'll save at local businesses with your Subscriber Advantages Card, receive invitations to exclusive Subscriber events, and more! Accompanying parents, teachers, or professors are $16 a ticket.

2009-10 season blackout performances
Student tickets are not available for the following performances unless you purchase a Student Design-A-Series package. Restrictions apply. Limited student Design-A-Series tickets are available for each blackout performance.
  • September 11-12, 2009: An Evening of Beethoven
  • November 6-7, 2009: Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1
  • January 16-24, 2010: Carmen
  • February 12 - 13, 2010: Dvorak's "New World" Symphony
  • February 5-6, 2010: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
  • April 9-10, 2010: Verdi's Requiem
  • May 28-29, 2010: Mahler's "Titan"
  • All weekend Utah Opera performance

No student tickets are available to Utah Symphony | Utah Opera Special Events
(Play! A Video Game Symphony and Messiah Sing-in), but student subscribers can purchase tickets in advance of the general public if they subscribe and purchase tickets before August 11, 2009.
